Rise slowly, meditate, do some yoga, catch up on some reading. Entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park is just a 7 minute drive, for memorable hikes, rock climbing, fauna & flora exploration.
The unique vibrant Joshua Tree little strip of shops is a short 7 minute drive: gem store, yoga studio, coffee roaster saloon, organic café.

ALL OPEN FLAME FIRES ARE PROHIBITED. NO STOVES, FIREPITS OR BONFIRES.
The property consists of 5 beautiful acres of land. Most of it is raw, feel free to wonder about. Please refer to the map provided inside the house for further instructions.
We have a team member nearby if any issues arise.
There is an Airstream on the property that is also used as a guest space. The Airstream and the House have their own facilities and are separated by a fence.
The 2nd bedroom is detached from the main house and easily accessible. It's fully equipped with a private patio heating and A/C, see photos and map for more details.

SUCH a cute space, with a hammock outside. after a day in the park, we didn’t have the energy to go back in to watch the stars, so we sat outside all night and the view was beautiful, all our lights were off and the moon was so incredibly bright. amazing space - gets dark at night and it’s a dirt road once you get off the main road so drive slowly and careful and try to arrive before dark. also we got to watch the sunrise from the comfort of our beds, beautiful windows!! though you really should go outside to watch it. don’t forget about going into the actual park though, because this airbnb will make you forget all about it :)

April 2021Wow!!!! What an amazing house!! The location is amazing. Far away, yet close to everything. Beautifully decorated and felt luxe! Communication was also stellar. Had an issue with the toilet and they sent someone out at 9pm to fix it. We can’t wait to visit again!

April 2021My boyfriend and I stayed here as a two night getaway to relax and disconnect. I was so happy when I arrived because the house is even better in person! The house is both spacious yet not too big. It gets tons of natural light and has beautiful ambient lighting in every room. We loved sitting on the back patio to drink coffee and BBQ on the grill. The kitchen was missing just a few of items (such as a toaster and oven mits), but we were easily able to make do without them. The bed feels like a tempur pedic and we really enjoyed being curled up in bed and enjoying the fireplace. I will definitely try to book this house for our next trip to Joshua Tree.

June 2021This place was absolutely gorgeous—highly recommend for a Joshua Tree getaway! Super close to the National Park, and some grocery stores not too far away. Relaxing and private, plus an amazing view of the sunrise, sunset, and the stars at night. They also did an excellent job with the cleaning and providing for amenities etc. Charles who was managing the property and our needs during our trip was super nice and responsive, so no complaints there! My only concern was that the big room only has one door, and the other one stays open to the hallway, so it would have been nice if there was at least a curtain there or something. In any case, I would definitely stay here again and have been recommending this spot to all my friends!

May 2021We loved our stay. The location is great for some hikes like Hidden Valley or Barker’s Dam Trail but a bit far for others like Skull Rock. The house was clean and had beautiful sunsets. The AC cooled the place down nicely too. The road in is dirt so be sure to be careful on the way in or get there before dark. Nice location to town as well, easy to get food, drinks, etc. The bed was extremely squeaky - a heads up for any light sleepers. Sheets are all linen which can get very hot. Lastly, our hot water went in and out. Not too bad after a long hike but too chilly in the morning.

July 2021Impeccably styled, sweeping views, convenient location. Charles was a great host! Responded very quickly, and was very accommodating to our needs/requests. Check-in instructions were detailed and helpful. Cell reception is spotty, so if you’re not familiar with the area you’ll want to take screenshots of directions and check-in instructions. The wifi is on the slow side but can handle Zoom meetings without any problems. Quiet location that is close to park entrance, other destinations of interest, and main drag. Comfy minimalist desert boho vibe with abundant simple pleasures- amazing view of the terrain and sky (sunrises are spectacular), wildlife, and location is quiet. The property was very clean and has a minimally stocked kitchen. You’ll need to bring cooking spices/baking basics and small appliances/bakeware (kitchen has baking sheets and glass bakeware). Nice kitchen surprises- Helados paletas, locally roasted coffee, and hot chocolate bars. There is a BBQ, hammock, ample outdoor seating, and a little bistro set. Very comfortable semi-secluded property with sweeping views of Joshua Tree valley. I would highly recommend booking. Stellar host. I booked multiple nights with a new account (shared an account with Ex-spouse). Charles and Ensemble made me feel incredibly welcomed and trusted. I loved staying so much I extended my stay.

July 2021I love this place. I really hope to return! From the outset everyone I communicated with (Charles and the Ensemble people) were super attentive and quick to respond to any questions I had. The space itself is gorgeous, I love the design, the layout, the outside areas, the bed and bedding, the light fixtures! Just very pleasing and comfy and a great place for me to get some writing done. I would probably return when it is NOT 100+ degrees out, so I could enjoy more of the outside spaces (I loved the hammock!) and the AC works well but on the absolute hottest day even the AC had a hard time keeping the place cool enough. But that was on the day it was 104. Thank you to Charles and the Ensemble people I look forward to another writing retreat with you in the future!

July 2021Very aesthetic and well-furnished place. I might have misread the listing but I didn’t realize one of the bedrooms is detached from the main house—something to keep in mind! We always stayed in the main house and when the person went to bed in the detached room, a bat flew in. No worries though it was more funny than traumatizing. Super close to the national park entrance but it can take a while to get to different trailheads once inside the park. Another thing to mention is the air conditioning in the main house takes a while to cool down the whole place. It was half a day before the entire house felt comfortable. The detached room has a better AC unit so my heat-averse friend slept there. Service is a little spotty as well but that’s expected in the desert. Overall very fun trip!

I really appreciate that Charles and the Ensemble team were excellent at communicating with me from the start to the end of my trip to ensure that everything about the booking, check-in/check-out process, and the stay itself were ideal. The house was clean and the AC kept the entire place comfortably cool, the views are stunning as promised, the surrounding area was quiet and peaceful, and the proximity to the park entrance was very convenient. Watching the sunrise and enjoying breakfast from the patio was definitely a highlight of the trip.

Great views of the mountains and valley, with few neighboring houses making it feel nice and secluded. The AC works extremely well in both the house and extra bedroom. Oven/stove was really great, and so was the fridge (perfect for cooking a dinner). Definitely coming back!

There are so many different spaces outside that you can use to enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax as the temperature cools off. Just know that the road leading to the house is dirt, so be prepared for a bumpy ride (not too bad if you drive slow). Overall, I would give this place 10/10 stars.

September 2021I will say with no exaggeration that this was one of the most incredible places I’ve stayed. Beautiful, comfortable, and clean house with great touches. Highlight for me was the two large windows, thoughtfully placed in the dining area and bedroom that look eastward at an awesome panorama. It is a spectacular location, remote and quiet, overlooking the area leading to the park. And the park is a few minutes away. A very peaceful stay with solid amenities (barbecue ready to go, seating looking at the view, etc.) Strongly recommend!

October 2021This location is absolutely beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️ Would definitely love to stay again. Great view and convenient distance towards Yucca Valley and Joshua Park. The pictures were quite accurate, except there was only one twin bed acting as a couch in the living room instead of 2 like in the pictures (not a major issue). One of the beds is an external bedroom. The ambient lighting and the nice herbal scents of the house made it very inviting and relaxing. And the property has a lot of places to stargaze. The road to get there is literally a bumpy dirt terrain so be mindful of what vehicle you will take. The host was super communicative and immediate in responding.

October 2021Such a cute and quiet place to stay in Joshua Tree! A short drive to both the park and the cafes/shops. The house was clean, tastefully decorated, and stocked with essentials. There are a ton of windows with amazing views in every direction. The airstream that is also avail on Airbnb is close to the house but there are partitions so it didn’t feel intrusive. As the listing suggests, try to drive in before the sun goes down as the road to the house (last 5 mins of the drive) is a bumpy, dirt road. Would definitely come back and stay here!

The second bedroom being detached isn't ideal, but it's very close to the main house. The house stayed pretty warm at night without the heater on and without us needing to use the fireplace in the main bedroom. We loved the aesthetic and outdoor living spaces! Would definitely stay here again :)

The bed linens were soft and high quality, and the scent of real botanicals (sage, eucalyptus, marigold) filled the air. "It smells so good in here!" my friend called out when we walked in the door. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed. Outside, the property is a lovely desert garden on a large, high lot- private but not isolated- with wonderful views of the park and beyond. We loved walking through the garden with our coffee in the morning- there was even a labyrinth in the sand to pass through. We didn't have a chance to use the cold plunge tub, but it was clean and ready. The west entrance to the park is very close, as is the town of Joshua Tree. This desert oasis was perfect for a weekend catching up with an old friend, exploring the desert, cooking in the kitchen, and simply winding down and taking in the beautiful place. Hope to be back someday!

Place is so cute and lovely, took alot of picture as it was girls trip! The rooms are not close by to each other which gave us maximum privacy as it wasnt family trip, but if you are traveling with family just be aware that you guys need to make a trip(just a five steps outdoor) to each room. Each room had different vibe, which made us feel like spending time in three different location! No tv so recommend to bring your own device, neighbors are not too close to the place so we had no problem playing music.

It’s so peaceful and quiet and the views and surrounds are breathtaking. There are so many nooks and crannies to sit around the property so that you can enjoy the 360 views from every angle. The pool is cute. The bed is super comfy. It’s location is perfect near the park and near the town of Joshua Tree. It feels like you’re already in the park it’s so beautiful. August 2022This desert cottage was exactly what we were looking for. The location was ideal for our 4 day trip to Joshua Tree. The cottage is near the West entrance of the National Park but far away from the main street and hustle of Joshua Tree. The description to the house was easy to follow and we arrived with ease even though in was in the middle of the night. We had our first coffee every day sitting outside and watching the sun rise at 5:45am. The cowboy tub was a welcome refresher every day. The house interior design is very tasteful and we truly love the linen sheets. We loved all the different spots to sit and lounge around the cottage and the beautiful cacti placed. Air conditioning worked great for us, we even turned it off at night. The annex bedroom is ideal to stretch out a little. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for delicious meals and prepping a barbecue. Did I mention the amazing star gazing and quietnesses?!?! We would have stayed longer if it would have been possible. We did some experiences: the Goat Hike (35 minutes away) one of our favorite things and the Raku Ceramics, a lot of Boulder climbing in the Joshua Tree National Park and a few mini hikes due to the summer heat! ALL super easy accessible from the cottage. We hope to be back soon again! Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

September 2022This might be one of my favorite places to stay in Joshua tree. The house had so much desert charm with the organic art, eclectic lighting and furniture. We found the side detached room extremely comfortable, the bed was memory foam (I think) and it was kept really cold which is great for the summer months. Our favorite part was definitely the cowboy pool and the spectacular views. The location can’t be beat if you are planing on visiting the national park but we were enjoying ourself so much at the house that we never left.

We were driving into the park for the day and wouldn’t arrive at the house until well after dark, so we were very glad we did a drive by to find the house earlier in the light of day. The neighborhood’s roads are packed dirt and very uneven, but we were told beforehand and were prepared (and counted that as part of the adventure!). Also no streetlights, but we had no trouble locating the house with the gps map. The house and yard have a perfect desert vibe, and all was clean and cozy. Loved our stay!

February 2023As everyone else has said, it’s a great spot. Very close to the park! Really awesome to see the sun rise over the mountains! I just want to clarify what others have said about the dirt road leading to the place. It is a mountainous dirt road, very uneven with lots of bumps and humps. Our rental FWD Hyundai Sonata did fine, though you have to go slow. Also just make sure to go the first time in the daylight! We did it a second time after dark and it was doable, but definitely would be nervous doing it the first time in the dark.

It's clean, elegant, large, and has great amenities you don't get with a lot a desert homes—like a full kitchen and good heat. The location is great--close enough to JT and Yucca for food and adventures but "out there" enough for solitude. It's really just outside of the national park and the view every morning will astound you!

We reached out to the hosts a couple of times during our stay and they were very prompt to reply to help us find what we were looking for. After we checked out their cleaning staff found some damage to a rug (likely from a canine guest, which we did not have with us), and Ensemble Five handled the situation very professionally. May 2023Ensemble Five offers a great, relaxing space that feels conducive to healing. This was our first Airbnb and we were admittedly nervous. We couldn’t have had a better encounter. The co-host(s) were flexible and engaging, the cleaning crew offered “tips” for keeping the space cool and comfortable and even offered a few of her own activity recommendations that were adjunctive to the well-curated guide that the Ensemble Provided. If there is one thing I’d consider adding, it would be either a TV or a projector (so it looks less onerous). Gives clients an option for decompressing together after long, outdoor adventures. Definitely recommend this place for guests in the future.

August 2023숙소까지 들어가는 길이 비포장도로라서 운전할 때에 굉장히 조심스럽고, 자유롭게 돌아다니기에는 불편함이 있습키다. 특히 밤에는 위험하다고 느꼈습니다. 숙소 내부의 인테리어는 사진 그대로 매우 감각있고, 깔끔한 분위기로 꾸며져 있었어요. 다만 에어컨이 오래된 것인지, 창문형 에어컨이라서 외부와 바로 연결이 되는 시스템이더라고요. 그래서 처음 에어컨을 켰을 때 밖에서 들어온 모래와 작은 돌맹이들에 의해 얼굴을 맞았어요. 결국 그게 에어컨이 맞는지 잘못 작동한 줄 알고 문의해 보았으나 그게 맞는거였어요. 오래 켜두면 모래 문제는 그나마 괜찮아집니다. 오랜 기간 머물 숙소로 생각한다면 조금 불편할 것 같아요. 그래도 주변 경관이 조슈아트리와 서부의 느낌이 물씬 느껴지기 때문에 그런 면에서는 아주 좋았습니다.

August 2023The location had more of a view than anticipated, including from the pool and large house windows. Location was very convenient to the park, yet still convenient enough to the main town strip area. The neighborhood seemed pretty respectful to light pollution and while you could see houses through the valley with interior lights in, you could still very clearly see stars, even after a storm. The drive in is pretty bumpy and dirt, but you should follow the directions from the hosts sent in their welcome message, not GPS as I did. A standard sedan should be able to easily get in using their directions. The hosts were extremely accommodating. I moved my trip up by a day to get ahead of Hurricane Hilary and they shifted it with no issue. They remained communicative and gave suggestions, as well. I didn’t get to use the pool as I arrived a bit later and left early while the storm came in quicker but the water was a comfortable temperature for the evening and conveniently located.

Well located near the park entrance, the house is in the JT highlands and nestled among rocks and Joshua trees on a quiet dirt road. April 2025We had a wonderful week stay! Location is perfect to get into the park and town of Joshua Tree as well as an easy drive to 29 Palms, Yucca Valley, Palm Springs, Pioneer Town. The house was large (big dining/living room/master bed) with comfortable beds and great linens. Kitchen had most of what we needed to cook meals at home. We had a few issues with fans/ac, but the hosts were very responsive. Cowboy tub wasn't up and running, so you may want to message host to see if it's back if you are looking forward to it. There is an outdoor table for 4 and a few other outdoor chairs as well. We especially loved sitting in the back yard, which is very private and large, among many beautiful desert plants, animals (lots of birds, rabbits, and lizards!), and stars!
